AISC Names IDEAS2 Winners

Steel Construction CompanyThe American Institute of Steel Construction recently named the winners of the 2015 Innovative Design in Engineering and Architecture with Structural Steel awards program, known as IDEAS2.

This program honors excellence in steel-frame building design and is the highest honor bestowed on building projects by the structural steel industry in the United States.

Some of the top designs include Denver’s train station; an observation tower in Austin, Texas; an observatory in Oracle, Arizona; and a memorial for firefighters in St. Paul, Minnesota.

In each instance, the winners showed a real ingenuity and design that shows that beauty and potential of steel in architecture.
